Midi in but no midi out

Hello, All,

I had a quick question regarding midi playback. It seems that when I midi out to my keyboard, I can only play the 20 preset sounds of the ez-ag, however; when I switch the cable around to make the ez-ag receive midi, I can play nearly every instrument from my keyboard. Is there a way to access the other instruments in the ez-ag? The manual had nothing to offer me.

Thanks in advance.

If you use the EZAG as the

If you use the EZAG as the controller, and the keyboard as the sound source, then the EZAG should just send out MIDI note info and all the banks / presets should be determined by your keyboard.* The idea is that the EZAG onboard sounds are rubbish - but an outboard bit of gear will have awesome sounds - so you plug your MIDI out from your EZ into the MIDI in of the external device and you can make nice sounds.

When I plug my EZAG into an external MIDI device all the sound selections are made on the external device, the EZAG just gets turned on and plugged in.

I think you /can/ send programme changes out of the EZAG - by changing the preset on the guitar body with the switches, but this confuses my host a bit so I don't do that yet.

*This may be insulting but just in case: remember that plugging a MIDI out lead into the EZAG doesn't silence its speaker - so you will still hear the presets playing even if it's sending MIDI data out to a device.
