A couple of questions

Hi, first of all thanks for setting up this website. I'm sure it'll become a valuable resource for Yamaha EZ/EG-AG users. I posted a few times on the thread over at KVR under the name "Kenmac". Now for my questions:
Earlier this evening I downloaded Marcs EZ-EG/AG application and I was testing it out on my computer. I already have Marklefords application and I've been using that for several months and I notice that Marcs has a lot more features and the one thing that really intrigued me was the option to change the "virtual" tuning on the guitar but when I tried it out nothing changed. I tried various strings but nothing happened. What am I doing wrong? I'd really like to make use of this feature as that was one of the things that I wish Markleford would have written into his script. Also, as you may know, the EZs are *always* sending SYSEX messages and I wish there was either some way to turn this off or reduce it. I'm using Reaper as my main DAW. Is there a setting in there I can use or would Marcs application do the job? Thanks.

The settings will only affect

The settings will only affect midi data downstream of the EZ, not in it.

Re: A couple of questions

I guess I didn't explain this properly. I had the EZ setup on my computer and I was playing a VST instrument but I thought that when I changed one of the strings to a higher or lower value that I'd hear that in the output. Example, I wanted to change the low E to a low D but when I changed it on the script nothing happened, it stayed at the same pitch. I thought it would have changed it immediately but it stayed at E. Is there something else I need to do? It seems pretty straightforward in Marcs application.

Oh ok, you're controlling a VSTi. My only guess would be Marc hasn't implemented that yet, this is still a work in progress.
